NA plane, JNA '90 concept

"NOVI AVION" - "NEW AEROPLANE"

NA (English: New Aeroplane) is legend of "Old Yugoslavia" or fairytale maybe... For some it is symbol of "gold time" and for some it is last rotten project in rotten country. For me it is just one of great design job done in MTI.
NA is one of 20th century ex-Yugoslavia plane project, after the J-20 Kraguj, the G-2 Galeb, the G-4 Super Galeb, the J-22 Orao, and Lasta 95 (there was more but I think these are all MTI plane projects).

The project was made for the Serbian Army at the Military Technical Institute. The model is designed based on the conceptual design documentation.

The project was made for the Serbian Army at the Military Technical Institute. Model is designed based on paper documents and electronic 2D documentation. Most challenging part of designing was surface optimization, as most of details on wing-fuselage fillets and fuselage-engine inlet bottom fillets (visible on second image) where not appropriate for model scale. Same problem appeared on fillets between vertical empennage and fuselage.

The project was made for the Serbian Army at The Military Technical Institute (MTI) of the Serbian Army. Model is designed on the basis of existing external geometry with model modifications for testing in subsonic wind tunnel testing in aerodynamics laboratory of MTI.
